Bloody Mary

Weekend Brunch: Metro D's Best Bloody Marys

Weekend brunch is arguably the best meal of the week, and certainly a reason to get out of bed early on a weekend. Delicious food and cocktails are the stars of this show, and sipping on a bloody mary is guaranteed to get your day started off right.

Grab some friends and make plans to meet up for brunch at one of the following establishments:

Vivio’s Food & Spirits

Located in Detroit’s Eastern Market, Vivio’s is famous for its bloody marys. There are several to choose from, from the simplistic Classic Bloody Mary, to the complex BLT Bloody Mary (served with lettuce, ranch bacon, pickle spear, lime and beer chaser) or Insanity Habanero Bloody Mary.

The Sardine Room

Brunch without a libation would just be wrong. Right? The Sardine Room Bloody Mary is made with Tito’s Vodka, homemade mix, pickled asparagus and shrimp. Go ahead and pair it with a Red Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich and you’re in business.

Deadwood Bar & Grill

Northville’s Deadwood Bar & Grill puts its own spin on the traditional bloody mary—a Bloody Moose, made with Absolut Peppar and Absolut Citron, blended with homemade mix and served with a bleu cheese-stuffed olive and venison sausage slice garnish.

Grand Trunk Pub

Weekend brunch at this Detroit pub includes cocktails made with Michigan spirits, such as My Bloody Valentine, a bloody mary made with Valentine Vodka, garnished with bacon and shrimp. It’s served with a New Holland Full Circle beer back.

Additional bloody marys you’ll want to check out in metro D include: Toasted Oak Grill & Market (Novi), One Eyed Betty’s (Ferndale), Gold Cash Gold (Detroit), Sava’s (Ann Arbor), Café Muse (Royal Oak), Three Blind Mice Irish Pub (Mount Clemens), Dime Store (Detroit) and Imperial (Ferndale).

Cheers to the weekend!
