I’m a member of Street Lethal Performance, one of the largest F-Body clubs in Michigan and the President informed me of entering my Camaro. Here’s a quick story of how “Indy” came to me.
“Indy” (my 1993 Camaro Indy pace car) was my dream car since it debuted in 1993. After 11 years of drooling every time one of these rare cars would pass me, I jumped on an opportunity to grab one all the way down near Ft. Lauderdale, FL in September 2004. After finding a powerful truck and flatbed trailer to bring her home in, we had to battle bad weather all the way down since hurricane Frances was coming. The hurricane hit the east coast hard and I prayed Indy was safe in a garage somewhere. As chance had it, she survived fine (resting between two Rolls Royces), her papers were signed and we were back off to Michigan. Since then, she’s been happy running around to the myriad of car shows and winning awards at the 2010 Camaro Superfest. She gets double takes wherever she cruises and I’d be proud to cruise in this parade with the rest of her “cousins”. The photo attached is the first photo taken when we got her back to “home base” in Florida for a rest. It was a day after the hurricane hit.
