“Enclosed you will find a picture of my 1962, numbers matching Corvette. It has just under 37,000 original miles on it. I found the car on-line. It was in a garage in Boston sitting for many years in primer and missing some small trim parts and not in any where near running condition. A restoration had been started but like so many others “Life” got in the way. I contacted the owner and scheduled a flight from Detroit to Boston for the day with my “numbers” booklet in hand.
That was in late 2008. I had the car shipped home and did my research and started the restoration in the fall of 2009. The body off restoration is now complete (as of June 15th).
P. S. Note that my 2003 50th Anniversary Corvette sits along side of my ’62. (The Corvette and I turned 50 the same year!)”
