Roger’s 1962 Corvette

“Enclosed you will find some before and after picture’s of my 1962, numbers matching Corvette. It has just less than 37,000 original miles on it.

After a long search for a C-1 Corvette I found this one on-line located in a garage in Boston. The car sat for many years in primer and missing some small trim parts and not anywhere near running condition. A restoration had been started but like so many others “Life” got in the way. I contacted the owner and scheduled a flight from Detroit to Boston for the day with my “numbers” booklet in hand. That was in late 2008.

I had the car shipped home and did my parts research and started the restoration in the fall of 2009. The body and frame were in excellent condition. The frame was stripped media blasted, primed and painted. The engine and trans were reconditioned and the interior and convertible top refinished. The restoration is now complete, (as of June 15th 2011) with the exception of a radio that has been ordered.

The car is a 327 /250 HP with a 4 speed trans and a 456 differential. The color is Roman Red with matching interior and a white convertible top. The car was ordered with only the convertible top.

Many thanks to my loving wife Ingrid, as well as Jim and Shelley Hitchcock who did the amazing body and paint work.

Thanks for looking and see you cruising!”
