“I have always loved Camaros, but I was never in the financial position to purchase one of my own. I got pregnant right out of high school and married the twins father. It was a mistake and I stuck it out for 9 years and worked hard to just make ends meet. After I got out of that situation, I meet an amazing man who has a 97 30th anniversary camaro. He helped me move on with my life and has helped with my kids (he is a great “DAD” to them). With his help, I was able to move up at work and was finnally at a comfortable pay range with bonuses. I decided that I was going to save my bonuses so I could buy myself a Camaro. I wanted a 1997 Bright Purple Metallic Z28 and so Brian, my boyfriend, helped me look… and look and look! While I was looking for my “perfect” car, I helped Brian turn his car into a clone Brickyard car. It was very fun. After about 2 years of looking, a friend of ours called and said that he found a car that I would like. There was one problem, he said, the car isn’t purple. I was kind of bummed and decided to look at the car anyhow. When I saw the car, I was in love! It is a 1995 Bright Teal Metallic Z28 with 23000 miles. It was in perfect condition! I bought it that night!
I actually bought the car the weekend before Woodward last year. I was very excited to drive a car of my own on Woodward for the first time! It was the perfect day!
Woodward is also a special day for me because it was the day that Brian and I went on our first date in 2007. I would not have my car, a better life and someone who loves me if it wasn’t for him!”
