I am hereby nominating my fabulous mother Pat “Trish” Furman of Farmington and her 1986 Caprice Classic LS Chevy.
“Trish”, as we named the car, is a Classic Brougham Edition w/ Ruby Red pillow-style velour interior. It has a two-tone red exterior w/ red vinyl top that sometimes tough to keep clean! The engine is a 305 cu in. V8 block w/ 170 hp and 250 lb. ft. torque. It has only 75k original miles and only ONE owner…as one can tell she’s been well taken care of.
This is the last of four Caprice’s our family had…Mom insisted Dad never sell this one. Being RWD it’s not really practical for Mich winter’s (but I learned to drive in this!!) it’s in storage during snow-season. We love the looks we get whenever we’re @ the gas station and always approached if she’s for sale.
We would never give “Trish” up for anything. This is Mom’s baby & after much protest from other family member’s to sell it she’s determined to keep it…ironically these same family member’s want to drive it in Dream Cruise but noooo way….Mom will be at the wheel on Woodward come Aug 20th!!
I had to enter Mom b/c not only is she gorgeous like the car, she represents the maturity and FUN that goes into this hobby.
