This photo was taken at Quarton Lake last fall.
This car was restored and finished for Dream Cruise 2010 by my dad, Robert (who is 79 yrs old ) and a few other family members (brother Robert Jr, sister: Sandie and brother-in-law Brian).
We put the original GM 350 engine back in it. We have restored it with as many GM part as we could. We put the original GM 350 engine back in it (purchased from Rinke Chevrolet). It has the original interior. Original t-tops! My dad did all the restoring except the exterior paint which was done by Mike Savioe Chevrolet Paint Shop. The color is not the original red but even better according to the experts at Mike Savoie. It is a pearl metallic that is absolutely beautiful.
We have dreamed of having a wonderful classic car since the origination of Dream Cruise and this car is a wonderful example of a family project and our dream come true. The name came about because we all love the car
and we all have scrapes and scars to prove it!”
