Detroit Free Press Restaurant of the Year & Valentine’s Giveaway

February TBD

Typically, the LMA partners with the Detroit Free Press for a year-long sponsorship in which we host VIP ticketed events at the Top 10 Best New Restaurant of the Year. It always kicks off in February as the Free Press’s food critic announces the 10 restaurants who made this list, along with an overall Restaurant of the Year, and a Classic Restaurant.

Due to COVID, we do not know if this campaign will return in 2021 since restaurants are hurting so badly.

We are currently working with Freep to come up with a new version of this campaign.

In 2020, we hosted 2 hugely successful donation drives to support not only the hurting restaurants, but also front line healthcare heroes. We provided over 10,000 meals to frontline workers along with over $200,000 to Detroit restaurants. To learn more about it, go to: freep.com/cares

Shades of Pink

Shades of Pink: A Wild Time at the Zoo

April 24

No breast cancer patient should have to choose between paying the mortgage or life-saving medical treatment. Every year, thousands of Metro Detroit residents are faced with this very choice.

In fact, almost 1000 Metro Detroit women will have to declare bankruptcy due to the financial burden of their breast cancer treatment!

This is why the LMA finds it so important to support the Shades of Pink Foundation by sponsoring their annual fundraiser – A Wild Time at the Zoo.

We will provide your dealership with digital / social assets to promote your support of Shades of Pink.

If you would like to get your dealership further involved, you can create your own dealership team to participate in the walk, or donate directly to SOPF.
