Holiday Walk at Meadow Brook Hall (Nov. 23 – Dec. 23)
This time of year, Meadow Brook Hall transforms into a holiday dream. Trees are adorned with sparkling ornaments, a live organ is playing festive music and fireplaces are keeping company warm. On certain days, you might even get to see Santa! Prices vary depending on age. Kids five and under are free.
Holly Dickens Festival (Nov. 23-25, Dec. 1-2 and 8-9)
Taking inspiration from the holiday season found in stories by Charles Dickens, the Holly Dickens Festival transforms downtown Holly into a winter wonderland complete with horse-drawn carriage rides, caroling and old-fashioned games.
Tree Lighting Ceremony in Royal Oak (Nov. 29)
Enjoy the musical stylings of the Royal Oak Salvation Army band with a few refreshments while you wait for Santa to arrive and light the tree. Afterwards, Santa will be around to visit and say hi to the children.
