Take a trip back and visit the wonderful history of our local area… come and see the 23rd annual Victorian Festival in downtown Northville. You can journey back to a simpler time when art and romance were the predominate themes.
The festival is hosted by the Northville Chamber of Commerce and celebrates the town’s special heritage. It is being held September 16, 17 and 18, 2011 starting with a parade on Friday night at 6:30 pm and continuing throughout the weekend. The fair will showcase the Victorian Era with period costumes, storytelling, magicians, music & demonstrations. Ryde Park will have rides available for the kids and the Victorian Saloon (sponsored by Edward Jones) will offer entertainment for adults.
Festival goers will also be able to shop at the many quaint and unique establishments that Northville has to offer. There will be old-fashioned games and food vendors available as well. Victorian Teas and Fashion Shows will take place on Saturday at Northville’s own historical village.
Festival times are:
Friday, September 16, 2011 (5:00pm – 10:30pm)
Saturday, September 17, 2011 (Noon – 10:30pm)
Sunday, September 18, 2011 (11:00am – 4:00pm)
