Nigerian musician Femi Kuti will be performing at Saint Andrew’s Hall in Detroit on Thursday, July 19 at 7 p.m. He was born in London, England and raised in Lagos, Nigeria to afrobeat musician Fela Kuti. Femi’s music spans a wide range of tastes, as made evident by his collaboration with Common, Mos Def and Jaguar Wright, his opening act for Red Hot Chili Peppers, his time spent touring with Jane’s Addiction and the influence of his father’s music.
