When Joseph Penrod of Commerce Township was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy his parents devoted themselves to finding a cure and increasing awareness for his disease. They successfully started what is now known as, Jammin’ for Joseph, a concert to raise both money and awareness for MD. This year, the concert’s headliner will be the Eli Young Band, a red hot country act. In addition, Annabelle Road and Canaan Smith will also be performing. The concert will be Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the Fillmore in Detroit. All precedes benefit Team Joseph for research to put an end to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Doors open at 5:30 pm and the show begins at 7 pm. Tickets range from $21.75 – $76.75. For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit www.thefillmoredetroit.com.
