Eastern Market is bustling throughout every season in Detroit, but the holiday season is really when the market comes alive. Nutrition Education takes place in Shed 5 and offers classes for both kids and adults. Some Thanksgiving highlights includes Root Vegetable Shepherd’s Pie for kids on November 16, Thanksgiving Pies for everyone on November 23, Thanksgiving Leftovers for adults on November 30.
Zingerman’s is world famous for their sandwiches and deli offerings, but they also have a popular Bakehouse where you can learn how to make delicious meals at home. Named after the stainless steel containers used to store olive oils and balsamic vinegars in Italy, Fustini’s is a foodie’s dream filled with fresh ingredients and smells. You can learn how to bring that freshness to your Thanksgiving table at their Beyond the Turkey class on Thursday, November 21 and Sweet-Salty-Sassy-Sultry class on Saturday, November 23.
