Japanese restaurant Slurping Turtle in Ann Arbor is hosting its annual Ramen Battle competition for charity July 10 from 2-6 p.m. Five chefs will compete against each other to be named the best ramen chef. The five chefs will be Jared Bobkin from Bayview Yacht Club, Doug Hewitt from Chartreuse, Andy Hollyday from Selden Standard, Tadashi Nagura from Slurping Turtle and David Koshizawa from The International Culinary School at the Art Institute. Attendees will be able to taste the ramen from each of the five chefs and then pick their favorite. The winning chef will win $2,000 for a charity of their choice. Tickets cost $75 plus tax.
