The city of Detroit is synonymous with many things… The Red Wings, Joe Louis, Motown and above all else, automobiles. We are not called the Motor City for nothing. And as we do every January, we get ready to embrace a timeless tradition that celebrates all things automobile… The 2012 North American International Auto Show.
This year’s Auto Show promises to be the best ever. With over 500 vehicles on display, at least 40 of which will be new “worldwide” unveilings, and the most innovative and exciting designs in the automotive industry, the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) truly is North America’s greatest auto event!
The NAIAS has become a grand tradition in the city of Detroit and Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers (MDCD) are very excited for what Chevy has in store for this year’s show. With the history behind the show and the excitement each year brings, it is an honor to be able to participate and showcase the many exciting new vehicles available.
Chevy has an outstanding line-up of cars and trucks, and at this year’s NAIAS there will be several new vehicles launched, including the all-new Sonic and the re-design of the Malibu. Many other Chevy vehicles and designs will be on display, as well as a few surprises for those in attendance.
With close ties to the community, Chevy knows the magnitude of importance the NAIAS has for the city of Detroit. MDCD has always emphasized how important Detroit and our heritage are. Because of this, MDCD is heavily invested in the city and the people of Michigan. Our In The D campaign features local bands, residents and hometown scenes for its advertising. From interviews with the featured bands to testimonials from people who love their Chevy vehicles, our MDCD website (www.staging.chevydetroit.flywheelsites.com) is full of entertaining and informative stories.
Our website also showcases individuals in the community who are making a difference in the city of Detroit as well as throughout the great state of Michigan. In addition, it is a great place to visit to find local happenings in and around the city of Detroit. From local concerts, plays and operas to street fairs, art exhibits and fantastic eateries, there is something for everyone looking for a good time in the D. We also run contests and feature coupons and special offers for establishments around Metro Detroit.
In addition to giving so much back to the community, Chevy also celebrated its 100th birthday in 2011! For 100 years, Chevy has been dedicated to making a quality product that is as thrilling to drive as it is to look at. Comfort, affordability and quality are all top standards of Chevy. That is the mission and Chevy has not stopped providing this for customers in over a century.
As MDCD move forward, we will continue to support Detroit and all of the surrounding suburbs. With our Cell Phones for Soldiers campaign and other charitable causes, we will remain a leader in the community. Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers are more than just a business. We are part of the community. We take an active role and are proud of the city of Detroit and all who live here.
