We all love the D… home to our favorite restaurants and sporting events, it is where we live, laugh and love. Now come and see it from a different perspective. In a new collection, the Detroit Institute of Arts showcases the photographs and video from contemporary artists that have been inspired by Detroit, its people, diverse culture, and industries. The work was created from 2000–2010. The exhibition is composed of over 50 pieces that depict the mood, influences and change Detroit has seen over the past decade. The show is currently running and will be at the DIA until Sunday April 29, 2012. Don’t miss your chance to get a different look at the city we all know and love. The DIA is open Wednesday through Sunday. Please visit www.dia.org for more information about prices and exhibitions.
