Fakes, Forgeries and Mysteries @ The DIA

This exhibit focuses on discoveries within the DIA’s collection of artwork regarding mistakes, authenticity and the ever-changing value of some of its pieces. Based on the frequent re-assessments of their collection- research involving breakthroughs in current technology and modern science have challenged preconceived theories and values of 60 sculptures, paintings, photographs and other mediums as well. A behind the scenes look into the research and theories formed to create this exhibit create an entertaining balance of Art and Science.
