Visit the Detroit Institute of Arts to see the amazing collection of art put together by James Pearson Duffy, one of Detroit’s most unorthodox collectors. Duffy collected art over the course of 40 years and had put together an eclectic and beautiful compilation of work. He often would pick pieces based on his intuition, and with time his collection grew to be one of the most admired in Metro Detroit. He bequeathed this collection to the DIA and it is now on display until March 18, 2012. The collection consists of drawings, paintings, prints, sculptures and photographs. Don’t miss this once in a lifetime chance to see Gift of a Lifetime: The James Pearson Duffy Collection.
