Michael Chikuzen Gould is a Grand Master of Shakuhachi. The shakuhachi is a Japanese end-blown flute usually made of bamboo. Gould studied the shakuhachi in Japan and uses it to create a variety of sound that will amaze and inspire the audience. There will be two performances at the Detroit Institute of Arts on Sunday March 4, 2012 at 1 pm and 3 pm. The shows are free with cost of admission to the museum, which is $8 for adults.
