Music, Beer & More: Karaoke Bars of Southeast Michigan

After a few beers (with a safe ride home, of course), fewer things are more fun than singing karaoke with your friends, or solo – if you’re courageous enough to do it alone. Even if you choose not to participate, listening to tone-deaf singers trying to hit a high-note is quite comical for the crowd.
Bars and other establishments offering karaoke are littered throughout southeast Michigan. If you’ll continue along on this journey with me, I will highlight a few.
Formerly known as “Rockstarz,” this Garden City bar is now country music-themed. Karaoke is offered on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. In addition to its karaoke prowess, Renegades has live music Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Live musical guests include genres such as country, southern rock, rockabilly, jam music and blues.
With more than 75 beers to choose from, including Michigan craft brews, this Madison Heights bar can surely give you the nudge you need to belt a song out on the karaoke stage. Karaoke takes place every other Tuesday night, and Wednesday through Sunday nights. There are also disc jockeys, trivia, food and drink specials and much more here.
The Fillin’ Station, located in Chesterfield, has karaoke every Friday and Saturday at 9:30 p.m. It also offers incredible specials, such as half off the entire food menu on Thursdays. That is a hard deal to beat. Live DJs, mug club, pool tables and dart boards are other amenities to look forward to at this bar.
Remember, karaoke is all about letting loose. Have fun, everybody!
