Detroit Historical Canal Tour

Have you ever kayaked through the canals of Detroit? What about enjoying a historical tour while you paddle along? Through a partnership between Riverside Kayak Connection and Detroit Eastside Community Collaborative, you can do just that! As you paddle through the canals, you’ll learn about the Fisher Mansion, Detroit’s “Little Venice” and downtown Detroit. This tour runs on select days and times throughout summer.

Preservation Detroit Tours

Preservation Detroit holds weekly walking tours through four areas of Detroit: downtown, midtown, Cultural Center and Eastern Market. Go on a tour of one of these four areas, led by volunteer guides, or sign up for a “season pass” and experience all four tours.

Batman v Superman Tour

Fans of Batman and Superman surely know that 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was primarily filmed in Detroit. If you’ve ever wanted to check out some of the locations featured in the film, all you need to do is download an app on your phone. The Batman v Superman Tour app is available on iOS and will show you which building stood in for the Wayne Building in Metropolis or Wonder Woman’s hotel. Pretty cool!

By the Sidewalk Food Tours – Ann Arbor

By the Sidewalk offers tours of the dining scene of Ann Arbor. The price of admission will get you a 2.5-3 hour tour of Ann Arbor with eight stops for food where you can sample food and talk to the restaurant owner. There will also be fun trivia throughout and historical lessons about the city.
