Today, it can be fairly easy to get caught up in our daily lives. We’re always connected to everyone through our smartphones. We try to manage our work life with our home life and even try to squeeze in a bit of a social life. Sometimes, it can feel like too much.

Chelsea House Inn

If you’re looking for a quiet place to get away, not only is Chelsea a perfect town, but the Chelsea House Inn is the perfect complement to your much-needed vacation. “JIFFY” Mix

Adding to its “claim to fame,” Chelsea is the hometown of national baking mix brand “JIFFY” Mix. It has more than 100 years of history in Chelsea, being established as Chelsea Milling Company in 1901 and venturing into the retail business with prepared baking mixes just shy of 30 years later. Today, “JIFFY” Mix is synonymous with corn muffins, spoon bread casserole and more.

Purple Rose Theatre

Founded in 1991 by actor Jeff Daniels, the Purple Rose Theatre is a Chelsea landmark. Each season features 3-4 productions, drawing on midwestern inspirations, talent and audiences to tell authentic stories. There are also classes available to those that are looking to improve their talents on stage and behind the curtain.

Chelsea Farmers Supply

Owned and operated by the Raye Family, Chelsea Farmers Supply is a one-stop-shop for pet food, farming supplies, garden tools, landscaping materials and more. It’s located on Jackson St., right next door to the Chelsea Depot. Speaking of which…

Chelsea Depot

The Chelsea Depot no longer operates as a train station, but it has reinvented itself as a multi-purpose event venue. It’s a great space for weddings, celebrations and other special events. Check out their website above if you’re interested in renting the space.

Chelsea Museum

As you have seen, Chelsea is replete with a lot of history, especially for a small town like this one. If you ever want to dive deep into that history, the Chelsea Museum (located directly across from the Depot) is filled with exhibits, artifacts and more that will tell you stories upon stories about where the town came from to where it is today.
