Folk

The fine folks at Folk in Detroit know how to make great coffee, tea, and infused milk, but their salad bowls are just as great. Their menu includes a yogurt bowl, hashew bowl, and noodle bowl, but their Folk Bowl with green beans, cucumber, heirloom tomato, feta, marcona almond, and shiso basil vinaigrette offers the most taste for your buck. Johnny Noodle King is certainly the king of noodle bowls in Detroit, as their bowls offer plenty of not only Japanese inspired bowls, but worldwide influenced ones as well. Their menu ranges from Veggie Shoyu, Chicken Pho, and even more sauced bowls such as Duck Yakisoba. For those who want to venture back to their college days, Johnny Noodle King also offers Dorm Room Ramen bowl with your choice of broth.

Takoi

Inspired by Thailand and Southeast Asian dishes, Takoi started as a food truck in 2014 and has evolved to a fine restaurant offering up great tasting food bowls for everyone to enjoy. Their menu changes seasonally, almost daily, and features bowls such as the Burmese pork belly curry, chicken coconut curry, and shrimp fried rice bowls. Their wide ranging bowls are often served family-style and guests are encouraged to eat with their hands, making for an authentic experience.
