Spring is here and summer is just around the corner, and there’s nothing like enjoying a few drinks or a meal outdoors with those you love. To help you make the most of the season, we’ve listed a few great bars and restaurants with patio dining in Metro Detroit that will make you long for cold, tall drinks on warm, breezy nights.
The Livernois Tap in Ferndale from Axle Brewing Co. has only been around for a few years, but it quickly became a favorite spot to sit outside and enjoy a cold drink with a few appetizers to share with friends.
A great spot in Detroit for live music with a quaint outdoor patio; Northern Lights Lounge hosts live music almost daily, weekend brunches and more. Their mixologists are also top notch and regularly have a new special drink on the menu.
While there are several Jolly Pumpkin locations in Michigan, I want to focus on its Detroit pizzeria & brewery. Located on Canfield St., this spot is situated in a great area that is within walking distance of shops like Third Man Records and Shinola. So, do a little shopping for Detroit-made gear and then make a stop at Jolly for some amazing pizza and craft beer, which you can enjoy as you people watch from the Canfield patio.
If you’re looking for a little outdoor patio dining in a small downtown setting, Garage Grill & Fuel Bar in Northville is perfect. Whether you’re there for a weekend brunch or just spending a quiet evening outside, this historic spot features a meticulously created menu of flavorful food and drinks.
Located in Southwest Detroit, El Club is both a chic bar and music venue. Check out their calendar to find a show you might like. Get there a tad early to order a drink and hang out on the intimate patio while conversing with other music-lovers.
