Join the excitement at Rochester Hills’ beloved Festival of the Hills! Starting at 6:00 pm on June 25th, enjoy entertainment and activities before fireworks light up the sky just after 10 pm. Admission is free, with parking available all evening inside Borden Park. Pack a picnic dinner and snacks, a comfortable seat, and sit back and relax! In case of poor weather, a rain date is set for July 9.

Celebrate Independence Day across several parks within the renowned Huron-Clinton Metroparks system. “It’s one of Southeast Michigan’s favorite traditions,” shares the Huron-Clinton Metroparks team. “Tens of thousands gather over picnics and under the stars to enjoy this celebration of our American Independence.” Here are some details for firework shows through the Huron-Clinton Metroparks:
Stony Creek Metropark (June 27): Fireworks begin at approximately 10:05 pm. Enjoy spectacular views from Eastwood and Baypoint Beaches as fireworks are shot off over the lake.
Kensington Metropark (June 28): Arrive early with fireworks beginning around 10:10 pm; gates to the park close once capacity is reached.
Willow Metropark (June 29): Festivities start at 6 pm with live music, culminating with fireworks at 10 pm. Enjoy the park trails, pool, and playgrounds before then.
Lake Erie Metropark (July 3): Live music and food trucks from 6 pm, followed by fireworks at 10 pm.
A Metroparks daily or annual vehicle pass is required for entry to any Huron-Clinton Metropark.

A tradition for over 25 years, Independence Fest offers a day full of fun (June 28) with carnival foods, live music across stages, a classic car display, a veterans celebration, and kids’ activities, all starting at 11 am. Fireworks begin at 10 pm. Indulge in delicious barbecue, carnival classics, and more, or pack your blankets, lawn chairs, and coolers to enjoy a show among neighbors. Admission is free to Clintonwood Park, and there are a variety of parking options available, some including shuttles. The rain date is set for June 29.

Enjoy a unique experience at M1 Concourse with fireworks viewed right from the track at the Cars Under the Stars Fireworks Spectacular from 6:30 until 10:30 pm on June 29th. Delight in music, delicious food trucks, kid-friendly activities, and a mesmerizing fireworks finale. Ticket options include general walk-in for guests (parking off-site required), track parking, and premium parking in the arena.

Downriver’s favorite multi-day party, the Uncle Sam Jam, features thrilling carnival rides, monster truck rides, live concerts, classic car shows, a petting zoo, drone shows, and breathtaking fireworks on July 11 at 10 pm. Festivities run from July 10 through the 13th. Admission is free, making it perfect for family fun and visiting over multiple days.
