It’s easy to sit back and whine that there isn’t much to do in Metro Detroit. Honestly, I am guilty of this quite often. But in reality, my boredom has less to do with the lack of entertainment options in the area and more to do with my sheer laziness.

Metro Detroit is home to some incredibly well-equipped entertainment centers, providing excitement to not just the kiddos, but adults too. In fact, some of my greatest childhood memories were made while I was trying to perfect the art of miniature golf and getting slightly flustered in the batting cages.

If you find yourself in the Novi area, Paradise Park could easily become your one stop shop for all things fun. Have yourself a gazebo picnic, play a round of miniature golf and then test out your luck at the… soccer cages? Am I crazy or was anyone else completely unaware of the existence of soccer cages? I am certainly ready to give this a shot though!

For those of you who happen to live in or around Clinton Township, consider me jealous that you have C.J. Barrymore’s right at your fingertips. The question isn’t “what can you do at this place?” it’s “what CAN’T you do?” I could start my afternoon off with some bumper boating and then head over to the arcade. After lunch, maybe I’ll shimmy up the rock climbing wall. Seriously, you want to check out C.J. Barrymore’s.

From backyard projects to weekend getaways, the Chevy Blazer offers unmatched cargo space and convenience for all your adventures.

While I have yet to visit Midway Sports and Entertainment of Taylor, it’s pretty easy to see that when I do make the trip to this fantastic establishment, I won’t be let down. Anywhere that allows me to EuroBungy and have a water war in the same day deserves a thumbs up. I can think of a few individuals off the top of my head whom I would love to launch a water balloon at.

Sportway has locations in Brownstown and Westland. While I have not been to the Brownstown location, I can definitely attest to its counterpart. Summertime as a kid just wasn’t complete without multiple visits to Sportway. An innocent trip around the go-kart track or a round of mini-golf can quickly turn into the ultimate competition when you are with a group of friends or family.

There are plenty of ways to have fun, stay active, and enjoy the remainder of the season, so grab some friends and reignite your competitive edge!
