Mother’s Day is the perfect opportunity to take your mom out for a nice fancy brunch on your dime. Once you get some practice, you might try doing so more often!

The Forest Grill, 735 Forest Ave., Birmingham, will serve three brunch seatings at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. All of which include a three-course meal with several selections for each course, as follows:

Brunch costs $45 per person, and reservations are recommended sooner rather than later!
The Henry Ford, 20900 Oakwood Blvd., Dearborn, is hosting an “elegant, classy, affordable, delicious” brunch for moms featuring quite an impressive spread. The menu includes assorted mini pastries, bagels with flavored cream cheese, local jams and butters, Asparagus Salad, local breads, Roasted Strip Loin or Beef, an omelet and waffle station, Lemon Rosemary Roasted Chicken, Potato-Crusted Whitefish and much more.
Additionally, there will be a dessert table and special items for children including chicken fingers and macaroni and cheese. Brunch costs $51 for adult members ($60 for non-members), $26 for youth members ($30 for non-members), and is free for children ages 4 and under. Reservations are required and the dress code is business casual.
The Holly Hotel, 110 Battle Alley, Holly, is hosting a plated Mother’s Day brunch with three seatings at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The first course includes a spread of hotel scones, muffins, “sticky” cinnamon rolls, homemade jam and Devonshire cream. For the main course, you have your choice of several options, including:

The third course is dessert and includes Vanilla Chiffon Cake with whipped cream and spring berries. All of this for just $19 per person! What a steal.
Joe Muer Seafood, 400 Renaissance Center #1404, Detroit, isn’t being left out of the brunch crowd. Brunch items will be served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and include made to order omelets, eggs Benedict, sushi, carved prime round, Dearborn Ham, Salmon Wellington, Maple Cured Bacon, fresh fruit, and plenty of dessert. The meal costs $42.99 for adults, $19.99 for children ages 6 to 14 and is free for children 5 and under.
The Rugby Grille, 100 Townsend St., Birmingham, is serving a prix fixe brunch menu from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The first course contains your choice of Irish Oatmeal Brûlée or Smoked Salmon, followed by a second course of either Townsend House Salad or Artichoke Soup.
The main course includes several options like Rugby Crab and Lobster Cake Benedict, Sautéed Halibut, Crispy Duck Breast, or Applewood Smoked Beef Tenderloin. What’s for dessert, you ask? Strawberry Rhubarb Mousse with a lemon verbena panna cotta center, blackberry sauce and fresh fruit.
In total, brunch costs $65 per person, and seating is limited.
The Detroit Zoo, 8450 W. 10 Mile Rd., Royal Oak, is hosting a breakfast event perfect for mothers and young children. The meal will be held in the Wildlife Interpretive Gallery from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., where all attendees will have access to the Butterfly Garden. The package costs $30 for adults, $25 for children ages 14 and under, and includes breakfast, zoo admission and parking.
