Despite some recent spring-like temperatures, Detroit winters are typically brutal. You might be stuck indoors for hours on end, but that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Here are some excellent indoor options that are not only fun, they will keep you active in the winter months in the D.

Rock Climbing

Rock climbing is a fun way to stay active and something that pretty much anyone can do do at any age. There are some great rock climbing places to check out in the area including Planet Rock Climbing Gym in Madison Heights, the wall at the Mort Harris Recreation and Fitness Center, and the University of Michigan MRock.

Laser Tag

An activity both parents and kids can enjoy, laser tag is an entertaining way to spend a winter afternoon. There are plenty of laser tag arenas in the area including Zap Zone Extreme in Farmington, Paradise Park in Novi, and Lazer Warp in Madison Heights.

The brand new HUB Stadium in Auburn Hills has everything you need to have a fun night indoors. Trampoline Parks

Those looking to keep their kids active on a harsh winter day can check out the various trampoline parks in southeast Michigan. The kids will be able to burn off all their energy from being stuck inside all day.
