What prompted you to begin photographing and sharing pictures of food in Detroit?
“We love looking at photos of food, taking photos of food, and talking about photos of food! We used to post it on our personal pages. One day someone told us they can’t stand when people post photos of their dinner. We decided to make an Instagram account dedicated to food pictures so that only people who were interested had to look at them. We are two sisters who live in Ferndale and never cook. It just made sense that we’d start posting photos from restaurants around Detroit. We feel extremely lucky to be part of the food revival Detroit is experiencing.”

What do you like most about Detroit’s food scene?
“Since the Detroit food scene is still in a somewhat early stage of development, I feel like the foodies of Detroit are more eager and passionate for good food when it comes to them. There is almost a deeper appreciation for really good food that gets made in Detroit. There has been good food in Chicago, New York, LA and other big cities since I can remember; for Detroit it’s this new and exciting thing we are witnessing.”
