Named after its cross streets, the Ford-Wyoming Drive-In is one of the last remaining drive-in movie theaters in Michigan. This drive-in always plays a double feature and is open all week long. Located in Ypsilanti and open since 1939, Bill’s Drive-In is a no-frills place where ordering is as simple as parking your car, telling the carhop what you’d like and waiting a few minutes to dine on some delicious coneys, fries and more. Get it now because Bill’s closes for the winter season from October until February. Located in Livonia, this is the last Daly Drive-In still standing. It is owned by Scott Grace, whose father opened it in 1959, and serves your regular drive-in fare of coney dogs, fries, root beer and more. The chili for Daly’s coney dog is made with a ketchup-based sauce that is unique enough that you can find bottles of it at local Hiller’s and Busch’s supermarkets. If you want the nostalgic drive-in experience with carhops on roller skates, then head to Eddie’s Drive-In in Harrison Charter Township. Enjoy a footlong hot dog and root beer while you relax in the comfort of your car and your favorite radio station carries you away. While Chick Inn Drive-In has the classic menu items like coney dogs, fries and burgers, this Ypsilanti establishment is where you can get the nostalgic experience of a 1950s drive-in with a delicious chicken sandwich.
