If you’ve got a large family to transport and you happen to be in the market for a new vehicle, the 2015 Chevrolet Suburban is the car for you.

The 12th generation model marks the vehicle’s 80th anniversary—the first Suburban model was released in 1935! Nowadays, this SUV is marketed for families on the go who need space for a little bit of everything.

The 2015 Suburban fits up to nine and now comes equipped with extra legroom for passengers seated in the second row. Should you be traveling without the whole brood in tow, the second and third row seats fold for convenience—meaning you can pack the back seats with groceries or soccer equipment to your heart’s content.

While space is important, being environmentally friendly is also high on my list, so I understand (or hope) that it is on yours as well! The 2015 Suburban is more fuel-efficient than previous models, so you can feel better about owning an SUV.

Explore Metro Detroit in a vehicle built for discovery. Chevy Equinox combines sleek looks, maximum comfort and cutting edge entertainment to navigate your city in style.

I’m sure you’re also curious about the specs. The 2015 Suburban is equipped with a standard 5.3L V-8 engine, 6 speed-automatic transmission and 2WD (4WD is optional). Steering, brakes and suspension are all improved from previous models. It’s also lighter and more aerodynamic, and optional features include leather upholstery, power sunroof, Blu-ray player and much more.

If you’ll be using the vehicle to transport your family, I’m sure safety features are of great importance. You’re in luck, because the 2015 Suburban comes with six free months of OnStar, which gives you access to tons of safety features, like Automatic Crash Notification, Crisis Assist, Emergency Services and Family Link monitoring.

Additional safety features include a rear cross-traffic alert system, front and rear park-assist, lane departure warning, lane change assist and more. The 2015 Suburban will implement new radar technologies that allow for a full 360 degrees of crash avoidance. Another new safety feature is Chevrolet’s Safety Alert Seat, which causes vibrations to alert the driver of potential crashes.

Like most of Chevrolet’s most recent vehicles, the 2015 Suburban comes equipped with MyLink Connectivity, a system that incorporates Bluetooth, voice recognition software and touch screen technology.

The console features a color touch-screen display that slides open to reveal a locked storage compartment. Don’t ever worry about leaving anything (small) of value in your car again! Keep your items safe from theft while you’re at the gym or walking the kids into school.

Should you have any teens in the car, the 2015 Suburban comes with up to six USB ports and double as many power outlets. Meaning, you’ll never be without a charge on your iPhone, iPad or other iDevice.

All of this and more can be yours when the 2015 Suburban is available early spring 2014.
