Now in its 79th harvest season, Blake Farms continues to offer fall fun across its four destinations: the Orchard & Cider Mill, the Big Apple, Blake’s Backyard, and its Lyon Township location. When you’re ready for your fill of fall, Blake’s has everything from U-pick mornings to after-dark thrills. This year, there are bigger mazes to get lost in, more rides and play zones for kids who never stop moving, night markets, bonfires, and more, keeping the farm buzzing well past sunset.

“Fall is our favorite time of year at Blake’s, and we’re thrilled to welcome families back to the orchard to celebrate the season together,” shares Paul Blake, Co-owner of Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill. “Whether it’s picking apples, enjoying fresh cider and donuts, or making memories at our festivals, there’s something special here for every generation, and we can’t wait to share the sights, smells, and flavors of fall with the community.” If cider wasn’t already your draw to an orchard, two new cider flavors (Cinnamon Donut and Pumpkin Spice) are being featured this year at Blake’s, which perfectly accompany a warm bag of cider donuts.

As for family fun, Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill’s corn maze has tripled in size, expanding from two acres to six. With longer routes and more decision points, the orchard’s maze is even more of a navigation challenge. Beyond the corn fields, Funland has also been upgraded and expanded. At the Orchard, experience a giant slide, pig races, a new playground, an extended John Deere track, and added handicap accessibility to the train. Blake’s Big Apple has similar playground and Combine Slide upgrades, while Blake’s in Lyon Township has a new train to ride.

U-pick remains a highlight, with more than 40 apple varieties on rotation through late October across all four locations. Team members are more than happy to share what’s best when you go. When you’re ready for pumpkin picking, head over from mid-September through October. If you’re planning on carving, look for pumpkins with a flat base and a sturdy stem for the perfect jack-o-lantern.

When the sun drops, the Big Apple transforms into a scary-good time. Haunted Weekends run Fridays through Sundays through November 1 with advance tickets required. All ages are welcome to indulge in a majority of the frightful fun (with parental discretion), ranging from attractions like a Haunted Hayride to Zombie Paintball through 10 acres on the property. The Spookyland Maze attraction is also great for all ages, with a visit to the petting farm and kid-sized tractors, joining corn mazes, the Funhouse, and Terror Tunnel. Recommended for those 10 and over, the Three-Story Haunted Bar awaits with scares on every floor.

Whether you head to Blake’s while the morning air is cool for a U-pick session and guide the kids to Funland to burn off some energy, or arrive later for a bonfire and haunted time, Blake’s is in full swing for the season.
