The Chevy Trax offers style and practicality, perfect for making every drive fun for the whole family.
Ferndale’s Imperial and tacos go together like, well, tequila and Cinco de Mayo. The taqueria, located at 22828 Woodward Ave., Ferndale, is holding two events to honor Cinco de Mayo this year, including the 2nd Annual Custom Skate Deck Artist Reception on Sunday, May 4.
Beginning at 7 p.m., local artists will show off their customized skate decks and attendants will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with the artists. The decks themselves will be on display all night and are up for charity auction on eBay beginning on Sunday, April 27. This year, proceeds will benefit the Ferndale Football Boosters and Brush Park BMX (the area’s first DIY BMX playground).
Participants include local artists, tattoo artists and just plain creative peeps like Kip Ewing, Stephen Jadasek, Josh Barg, Bethany Shorb, Matt Eaton, Kyle Weeks, and Dan Rick.
It goes without saying that while you’re there, grab a chips and salsa flight (with guacamole), a Carne Asada taco, a Bakersfield Sonoran hotdog and, of course, a margarita. Perhaps some churros as well. One can’t appreciate art on an empty stomach, right?
