Already feeling guilty about how much you are going to indulge in deep-fried turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and pumpkin pie?  Well, if you feel like burning some calories before the big meal, I got you covered!

I have to start off by mentioning the 30th annual Downtown Detroit Turkey Trot.  The 5K or 10K race will take place at 7 am and starts on Woodward Avenue north of Jefferson.  The race will wrap up around 9 am and all finishers will receive commemorative medals.

You don’t have to be a runner to participate in the Turkey Trot.  The Rudolph Wave is for walkers and starts at 8:10 am.  This allows people of all ages and conditions to participate in the Detroit holiday tradition.  For more information and to register for the race, visit www.theparade.org.

If you really want to burn a massive amount of calories, then the Detroit Turkey Trot Boot Camp Workout is what you need!  The Turkey Trot Slaughter is two hours of no-holds-barred boot camp exercise drills and can burn over 2000 calories!  I am not joking about that either.

After you finish one of these calorie-burning workouts, you won’t feel as guilty about your Thanksgiving meal.  You will have earned it because of the intense workout that you put your body through just hours before chowing down.
