The Motor City Comic Con, Youmacon, and Comic-Anime Expo are all coming to Metro Detroit soon… but you probably already know that if you’re a fan yourself. If not, here’s the 411…
MOTOR CITY COMIC CON

Taking place November 10 – 12 at the Suburban Collection Showplace, Motor City Comic Con will return for the second time this year. As Michigan’s largest and longest-running comic book and pop culture convention, this is not an event you’ll want to miss. For years, this convention has provided comic lovers an opportunity to connect and interactively experience and engage in pop culture. Multiple themed events will take place and among the attendees will be a variety of celebrity guests, including comic book creators, writers, artists, and actors. To name a few: Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, Tom Cavanagh, David Harbour, Oded Fehr, and more. Convention-goers can also expect quite the treasure trove of comics, movies, artwork, games, merchandise, collectible toys, and crafts available to buy and take home. Throughout the weekend, celebrity and comic guests participate in autographs and photo opportunities with attendees, for additional fees. Autographs may be bought at the show, while photo ops can be purchased on the website. Also, attendees can participate in various panel discussions, attractions, events, and explore various exhibitors throughout. Fans can still expect all the traditional favorites such as Cosplay Contests and kid-friendly activities, along with many more events and activities to be announced soon.
YOUMACON

Youmacon is an annual multi-day anime convention held to celebrate Japanese animation, video games, pop culture, and costuming. It brings a mix of interactive games, celebrity guest panels, and live music performances. For its 19th year, Youmacon will include large video game and table-top gaming rooms, a charity masquerade ball, as well as national bands and DJs.
COMIC-ANIME EXPO

The Comic-Anime Expo in New Baltimore is set to return right in time for Halloween! This is a free two-day event that is promoting video games, comics, and cosplay. There will be special guests, a cosplay contest, and more. Reserve a spot to join by calling the New Baltimore Trade Center.
