Dance Parties

We all have that moment when you hear a song or beat and you can’t help to move, no matter how uncoordinated you are. Dancing can bring so much joy to any situation, and there are plenty of places in Metro Detroit where you can express that joy! So bring those dancing shoes and get ready to cut up the floor at these fun dance parties!

Haute to Death

Detroit’s Haute to Death mantra is “Show up. Look good. Dance.” Sweet, simple and to the point, this dance party knows how to throw a party whether you’re going with your squad, your significant other, or just checking out one of their insanely fun events. Be sure to keep your eye out on their Facebook event page for updates.

Jerk X Jollof

From transporting food and goods to having enough room for pets and family, owning the right SUV is essential for pet owners. See the available features that make the Chevy Tahoe a pet lover's dream.

Combining African and Caribbean culture, cuisine and nightlife, Jerk X Jollof’s goal is to help everyone celebrate life. Their dance parties combine afrobeats, soca and dancehall favorites sure to keep everyone moving and grooving. Their Facebook page is consistently updating with event announcements and information on upcoming DJs, so be sure to follow the club here.

From their salsa lessons during the week, to the dance parties on Friday nights, there is always something to do at Ferndale’s Orchid. Wednesday nights feature salsa dance lessons beginning at 9 p.m. with open dancing until 2 a.m. If you’re looking for a Friday night party, Joey Radio will be on hand from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. to help you celebrate the start of the weekend.

Ladies Dance Event (3/1)

The Community House will host Women for Humanity’s Ladies Dance Event on Friday, March 1. The event will feature plenty of dancing (of course), but will also be an opportunity to learn about Women for Humanity’s educational program and help raise funds for the academic scholarships for Syrian students. For all of the great causes Women for Humanity puts on, be sure to visit their Facebook page.
