It has been revived from its 1949 ‘Show Bar’ era when it was a hot spot jazz club. The legendary bar lives again in its original Art Moderne style with a very unique main stage behind the bar featuring nightly amazing live music, deejays, and occasionally cabaret! Willis Show Bar’s New Year’s Eve will be a glamorous and fun all-inclusive night of live music and burlesque performances, DJs, hors d’oeuvres by Lucky Pistil, open bar, and a champagne toast at the ball drop, plus more surprises,” shares the Willis Show Bar team.

Located inside the Detroit Foundation Hotel, The Apparatus Room is known for its exquisite dining experience, and the New Year’s Eve menu will not disappoint. We’re told by the Detroit Foundation Hotel, “To ring in the new year, Executive Chef of The Apparatus Room Rece Hogerheide and his team have curated a six-course tasting menu for the evening of December 31st for $120 a person. The menu begins with an assortment of Canapés, Pate en Croute, Persimmon and Chicory, followed by Turbot and Lamb Saddle and a Satsuma Chocolate to finish off. Wine pairing by Sommelier Liz Martinez, as well as truffle and caviar enhancements, will also be available for purchase.” This six-course menu will be a culinary delight, ideal for those looking to celebrate the evening with a gourmet dinner.
FIREBIRD TAVERN

The Firebird Tavern is a great choice for those looking for a lively atmosphere to ring in the New Year. “At Firebird, we’re all about good food, great vibes, and fun, welcoming people. Join us for an NYE experience, in downtown Detroit or Troy, that promises to be a blast,” shares Jenna Jackson, Firebird Tavern’s Events Manager. Firebird Tavern is hosting the ultimate parties, with a few ticket options for attendees. For the Greektown location, general admission for the Champagne Problems party is $20 and allows access to the cash bar. Alternatively, a $120 ticket gives access to an open bar, a complimentary hotdog bar at midnight, a DJ/dancing on the second floor, a champagne fountain, and a toast at midnight. At the Troy location, celebrate the Weenies and ‘Tinis party with $75 tickets. This party will also have an open bar and champagne toast at midnight, but will also have karaoke, a cocktail weenie bar at midnight, a special martini menu, and party favors. The party will take place indoors and outdoors in the newly heated patio. Whichever location you head to, you’ll have a great evening!
