While summer doesn’t officially end until mid-September, it unofficially comes to a close shortly after Labor Day, when the kids head back to school and scorching days are replaced with moderate ones.

Instead of regretting your couch potato ways in mid-October when it’s too late, put down the remote and soak up some rays while you still can. After all, we do live in Michigan.

If you’re looking to make the most of the last precious days of summer, what better way to do so than getting active? Wrap up the season by spending as much time as possible outdoors and savoring the sun while it’s still shining.

In order to do so, check out the numerous activities Metro Detroit has to offer for playing in the summer sun. If you really want to finish out the summer with a bang, don’t leave a single one off your list!
