I don’t know about you, but I was never a good test taker in school. A pub quiz of random trivia is much more my style. Who wouldn’t enjoy knocking back a few with a group of close friends while testing their street smarts?

If the aforementioned scenario sounds like a good time, grab some pals and get ready for a whirlwind week of bar trivia!

Sunday:

Head to One Under Bar & Grill, 35780 5 Mile Rd., Livonia, for trivia at 7 p.m., and don’t forget to order a cheap drink or snack. One-topping pizzas are $10, and other specialties include $6 domestic pitchers, $3 long islands and $4 bloody marys. Sunday Funday, indeed.

This is how you Traverse Michigan. With cutting edge technology, tons of cargo space, and advanced safety features, Chevy Traverse is your key to unlocking the mitten state.

Monday:

O’Connor’s Public House, 324 Main St., Rochester, hosts a free weekly trivia night at 8:30 p.m. While you play, enjoy a $5 pub burger, $5 beer or wine flight or $3 well drink, domestic bottle or domestic draft. Additional happy hour specials run from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., too.

Danny’s Irish Pub in Ferndale and O’Tooles in Royal Oak also hold trivia on Mondays.

Tuesday:

Doc’s Sport Retreat, 19265 Victor Pkwy., Livonia holds trivia from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Happy Hour specials end at 7 p.m., so get there early if you’re looking to save a pretty penny. From 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., you’ll get discounts on drafts, well drinks and house wines.

Wednesday:

Whiskey fans, get yourself over to the Wurst Bar, 705 W. Cross St., Ypsilanti, for trivia and $2 Jameson shots from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Until close, call whiskey shots are only $3, so arrive thirsty.

Woodbridge Pub in Detroit also hosts weekly trivia for those 18+ from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Thursday:

Hermanns Olde Town Grille, 195 W. Liberty St., Plymouth, hosts Motor City Trivia at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m., and focuses on local fun facts. During this window, Bud, Bud Light, Coors Light and Miller Lite are only $2.75.

Friday:

The start of the weekend makes the perfect day for trivia hopping! Head to E.G. Nicks, 500 Forest Ave., Plymouth, for trivia at 9 p.m., then opt for a change of scenery. Carry on at Crow’s Nest, 6166 N. Canton Center Rd., Canton, for a second round of brain busting beginning at 10 p.m.

Saturday:

Brady’s Tavern, 31231 Southfield Rd., Beverly Hills, holds “Trivia Live!” from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. The kitchen is open until 10:30, so you have some time to grab a sandwich or entrée to fuel your brain before the competition begins.

There’s only one way to stay sharp, folks, and that’s by using your noodle on a daily basis. Who says you can’t do so in the company of beer and friends in a bar? Personally, that sounds like the best kind of learning environment imaginable.
