Start off the new year with these fun winter festivals for the family. Grab your scarves and mittens and get ready to ice skate or participate in whatever your favorite chilly activity is. There will be events for the adults such as wine tours as well as plenty of activities for the kiddies to participate in. So, check out one or all of these upcoming winter festivals in the D.
Fire and Ice Fest 2019
January 18th- 20th
Fireworks in the winter with a tastefest and country skiing, what more can you ask for! There is not better way to celebrate the winter. There will also be ice skating among other fun winter activities. This event is free and family friendly. So bundle up the kiddos and bring them on down to the fire and ice and fest.
Motown Winter Blast
Starts January 19th
This year the Motown Winter Blast will go on for six consecutive weekends. There will be everything from ice skating to food trucks and my favorite: the winter slide. This event is free and family friendly. Don’t forget to check out the live music and carnival rides.

Polar Party
January 26th
Watch the live animal show while you sip on some hot chocolate or check out the snowshoeing activities. This is event is $6 for residents of West Bloomfield and $8 for non-residents. Pre-registration is required . Don’t forget to bring your A-game as there will be a snowman building contest as well.
Plymouth Ice Festival
January 11th- 13th
This is a very COOL event that happens annually in downtown Plymouth. There are over 100 ice sculptures on display to view. All the sculptures will be available for viewing 24 hours, weather permitting. Family friendly live music will help to keep people moving and warm!
Let’s Chill Winter Fest
February 2nd & 3rd
The 2nd annuals Let’s Chill Winter Fest will happen at Wilson and Edgetown Parks. The fest is all about shopping, winter games and a wine walk. There will be free shuttles taking you to warming stations throughout the downtown area, an artisan tent and a variety of food to try.
