Trick-or-treating is a Halloween tradition, and while it can be fun to go from house to house on Halloween night, there are plenty of other Halloween-related events to partake in. The metro Detroit area has some great trick-or-treating events on the weekends leading up to Halloween, and here are three that we think you should take your little goblins and ghouls to.
The Mount Clemens Downtown Development Authority will be hosting their 8th Annual Downtown Mount Clemens Halloween Spooktacular on Saturday, October 29. Kids will be able to enjoy trick-or-treating along with kids shows on the Fountain Stage featuring Rosco the Clown, and a meet and greet with Hazel the Wacky Witch. There will also be a kid-friendly haunted hallway which will feature a Halloween putt-putt golf course and the 20 foot tall Colossally Creeptastic Black Cat.
Kids will be able to get in some early trick-or-treating at downtown Clawson’s annual Trick-or-Treasure on Saturday, October 29. Starting at noon, kids will be able to get treats from the Clawson Police and Fire Departments, as well as several other locations. This year’s event will also feature allergy-friendly treats so that all kids will be able to enjoy the event.
Downtown Rochester will once again play host to a fun night of family-friendly Halloween activities on Saturday, October 22. Kids will be able to trick-or-treat and participate in the costume parade, which will lead to the Rochester Fire Department. The firehouse will play host to many Halloween activities including crafts, a spaghetti dinner, and a screening of a Halloween movie. There’s plenty of fun things to do so be sure to check out the website for more information.
