Who: Flowers of Vietnam & Pepe Z

When: Monday, January 23 & Tuesday, January 24 (Multiple seating times)
What: Matt “Pepe Z” Ziolkowski of El Club teams up with chef George Azar of Flowers of Vietnam. The duo will prepare a four-course, Italian-inspired dinner, consisting of meatballs, gnocchi, pizza and more. Tickets are available for three separate seating times (6 p.m., 7:30 p.m. & 9 p.m.) each night, costing $35 each. January 23 tickets. January 24 tickets.
Who: Baconfest
Where: Rust Belt Market
When: Saturday, January 28 @ 7:00 p.m.
What: Non-profit organization Baconfest will be holding a — you guessed it — bacon-themed dinner at Rust Belt Market in Ferndale. Chefs will prepare meals, all of which include bacon as an ingredient, under the theme of “breakfast for dinner.” Tickets are $75. Event info.
Who: Kitchen Ramarj
Where: Brooklyn St. Local
When: Sunday, January 29 @ 7-10:30 p.m.
What: Liberian and Mediterranean restaurant Kitchen Ramarj will be taking its culinary expertise to Brooklyn St. Local to give patrons a taste of what it has to offer in the form of a pop-up dinner. Tickets cost $25 and include a choice of two appetizers, one entree and one dessert. Event info.
Who: Chef Matt Millar of Southerner
Where: Mabel Gray
When: Monday, February 6
What: Matt Millar, two-time semi-finalist for the James Beard Award and owner of Southerner in Saugatuck, will take over Mabel Gray in Hazel Park to delight patrons with his culinary expertise for one night only. The affair will be a single-seating, tasting menu-only dinner with beverage pairings, according to the Detroit Free Press. Tickets are $100 plus tax and gratuity.
