Summer might be winding down to an end, but that does not mean that things slow down in the metro Detroit area. Whether you’re a fan of art, music, or Dragon Boat racing, southeast Michigan has something for you.

The first Belle Isle Art Fair will take place near the fountain at Bell Isle Park. With the park’s rich history and gorgeous scenery, the free art fair will showcase beautiful art from over a hundred talented artists.
The 33rd Annual Brighton Fine Art & Acoustic Music Festival of the more prestigious art festivals in southeast Michigan, this year’s festival is expected to attract over 30,000 art enthusiasts. The festival features local restaurants, award-winning artists, acoustic music on four separate stages, and this year brings Misty Lyn & The Big Beautiful for a one night performance on Saturday night.

For those looking for family summer fun, the Saline Summerfest features a car show, games, fishing, inflatables, and new this year, a Chalk Art Challenge. There will be plenty of art and food vendors for you and your family to enjoy as well.
More than just a typical art fair, Live Art Detroit is an interactive art fair that will offer a unique experience to all patrons. Artists will interact with the audience in demonstrations, competitions, and workshops. Patrons can also make their own glass bead, be in a staged photo shoot, or work with clay.
The 6th annual Live Love Local celebration will take place at Eastern Market from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 21. The event is a benefit for the Greening of Detroit and 25 of Metro Detroit’s top chefs will be offering some of their best dishes at the event. There will also be a wide assortment of beers, wines, and soft drinks available.
Lake Orion’s Dragon on the Lake Festival celebrates art, music, and Dragon Boat Racing. This year’s festival will have a foam party on Thursday night, a lighted boat parade on Friday night, and numerous musical acts over the weekend.
