Food is something we all enjoy, I think we can all agree on that. There might always be food at events, but some of the best events are the ones that celebrate food itself. Here are seven events coming up in February that seem too tasty to pass up.
Greater Detroit Veg Bash, 2/9
Whether you’re a longtime vegetarian or someone who might want to learn more about the diet, the Greater Detroit Veg Bash at the Royal Oak Farmer’s Market is the place to be. The evening will celebrate the best vegan and vegetarian cuisine metro Detroit has to offer. The area’s best restaurants, caterers, and food trucks will be there along with music, food product exhibits, and family fun activities.
Artini, 2/10
Everyone needs to find the perfect martini to go along with their meal. Lucky for us, the ninth annual Artini returns to Ann Arbor for a night full of the best martinis from the area’s best establishments. You can vote for your favorite martini and help decide the “People’s Choice Winner,” while a panel will decide the “Juror’s Choice Award” for the year.
Michigan Love Celebration, 2/11
If you and your significant other are in the mood to celebrate both Valentine’s Day and the best food in the area, look no further than the Michigan Love Celebration happening at the Royal Oak Farmers Market on Saturday, February 11. The second annual event will feature a strolling food truck dinner and dessert, local breweries and distilleries, and live music.

Cranbrook House Tour & Lunch, 2/17
The title of the event says it all, attendees of the Cranbrook House Tour & Lunch will be able to walk through the oldest manor home in Detroit, the Cranbrook House, and then enjoy a scrumptious lunch. The lunch menu includes assorted breads, chef’s selection of one cold pasta salad and dessert, and a demi salad buffet.
Whiskey Business 2/18
Not to be confused with the Tom Cruise movie Risky Business, Royal Oak’s Whiskey Business will be going down at the Royal Oak Farmers Market on February 18. Featuring over a hundred whiskeys from around the world, attendees will be able to try everything from undiscovered local distilleries to the best scotches and bourbons other continents have to offer.
Mac N’ Brews, 2/25
If you have ever wanted to combine your childhood love of mac n’ cheese with your adulthood love of craft beer, then the Mac N’ Brews event at the Royal Oak Farmers Market on February 25 is the event for you. With over 20 breweries and local restaurants, the event will also feature other comfort foods to go along with the mac n’ cheese.
