Detroit Institute of Arts

New Center Park Movie
The New Center Park movie series is quickly becoming one Detroit’s most popular free events. You can enjoy a free tour of the Morley Candy Makers Factory where they make Sanders Fine Chocolate. Each tour includes over a half hour worth of chocolate making knowledge as guests can watch their favorite treats being made on a 180 foot observation walkway. Free chocolate samples are also provided, so you’re welcome.
Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum
Named in the World’s Almanac as one of the 100 most unusual museums in the country, Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum has thousands of mechanical oddities and other exceptionally rare items to look at. It’s a great trip down memory lane for adults as they can see pinball machines and other old school games from their childhood, while children can see things they have never seen before.

Slow Roll
Slow Roll offers bicyclers of all skill levels the opportunity to ride in a group every Monday night in Detroit. With over 3,000 riders every week, Slow Roll is not only the largest weekly bike ride in Michigan, but one of the biggest in the world.
