From market trips to weekend getaways, the Chevy Trax’s versatile cargo space ensures you’re always ready for life’s adventures.
Whether it’s the crackling sound on a skillet, the crunch when you bite, or the smell of it in the kitchen, bacon conjures up more senses than just taste. Maybe that’s because it can be used for so many things; adding flavor to a burger, a side with your eggs, or even a pizza topping, bacon can do it all. No matter how you hear, smell, or taste it, here’s where to get your hands on bacon in the D.
Bacon Hamburger: Clubhouse BFD
Beer. Food. Drink. That’s what to expect from Rochester Hills’ Clubhouse BFD. Craft beer and great food have been the forefront of the restaurant since 1969, and that includes their burger selection. Many of their burgers include bacon, but their Nifty Norman’s has been a staple since 1976. Featuring thick-cut bacon, aged cheddar, special BFD sauce and topped with an onion ring, if the Nifty Norman’s doesn’t make your mouth water, we’re not sure what will.
B.L.T.: Ale Mary’s
From market trips to weekend getaways, the Chevy Trax’s versatile cargo space ensures you’re always ready for life’s adventures.
Located in downtown Royal Oak, Ale Mary’s offers up plenty of great tasting bar food, along with a wide selection of vegan options. For bacon lovers, their take on the B.L.T. sandwich (technically called B.E.L.T. here) is served on a brioche and has a sunny-side-up egg, spring mix, aged white cheddar, roasted tomato and of course, applewood bacon. It’s a unique spin on the classic sandwich and also comes with their delicious beer battered fries.
Bacon on Pizza: Nick’s Pizza
Nick’s Pizza has been a Ferndale staple for over 25 years, specializing in pizzas, subs, grinders, and pasta. Their B.L.T. and BBQ chicken pizzas feature plenty of bacon, but it is their meat lovers pizza that catches our eye (and stomach). Featuring pepperoni, ham, ground beef, Italian sausage and bacon on top of blended cheeses, they don’t call it meat lovers for nothing.
Breakfast Bacon: Whistle Stop Diner
Homestyle cooking done right! Whistle Stop Diner in Birmingham features local products in a laid back and casual dining experience. Whether you want traditional applewood or Canadian bacon with your eggs, or even in your omelette or eggs Benedict, Whistle Stop has numerous options for you. We’d suggest the Kurtzy omelette with bacon, spinach, red pepper and goat cheese.
