The festival features more than 50 whiskeys, bourbons and scotches, 14 barbecue restaurants, several beers and a ton of live music.
The event is put on by the Metro Times and the WAB. Admission to the event is free and all ages are welcome. Pig and Whiskey perfectly exemplifies a southeast Michigan summer, with several Michigan businesses showcased. Dates and times are as follows:

Barbecue lovers will experience pure bliss. Some of the Detroit area’s best barbecue joints will be present, including R.U.B BBQ Pub, Slows, Zeke’s and more. What is better than a pulled pork sandwich on a warm July day? There will also be dessert options with favorites like Treat Dreams setting up shop!
If the liquor is what you come for, then you will not be disappointed. Some of the most well-known names in the business will be there: Jack Daniel’s, Jameson, and Fireball to name a few. In addition, some of Michigan’s own breweries will have beer flowing all weekend: Right Brain, ROAK Brewing Co., New Holland and many more.
The Woodford Cocktail Corner provides a premier selection of craft cocktails from Metro Detroit’s finest bars, restaurants and mixologists. Woodford Reserve has rounded up 16 incredible concoctions, which will be served at Pig and Whiskey from 2 p.m. on Saturday to 9 p.m. on Sunday. This is something that should be taken advantage of!
More than 20 bands are set to perform at this year’s function as well. Good food, good drinks, good sounds and good vibes are recurring themes of Pig and Whiskey. There really is no reason not to attend!
