Sometimes, the only thing better than a cold, craft beer is a cold, craft beer and a delicious meal. That’s where beer dinners come in. Restaurants in the metro Detroit area are teaming up with local brewers in Michigan to offer one-night dining experiences with delicious multi-course dinners, each with their own perfect pairing of beer.

Here are two beer dinners you don’t want to miss out on this summer!

HopCat feat. North Peak Brewing Co.

HopCat opened its Detroit location just a year and a half ago, but it quickly became a hotspot for Detroiters to grab a beer, especially with such a wide range of craft beers from brewers local and international. On Tuesday, June 28, HopCat is teaming up with North Peak Brewing Co. to bring a four-course, 5-beer dinner. The beers on tap from North Peak will be: 1) Rambler, a 5% Czech-style pilsner; 2) Diabolical, a 6.6% American IPA; 3) Archangel, a 5% summer cherry wheat; 4) Mighty, a 4.8% melon ale; and 5) Siren, a 5% amber ale. The taps start pouring at 7 p.m. To get your tickets, visit eventbrite.com.

Karl’s Cabin feat. Bell’s Brewery Inc.

The log cabin that houses Karl’s Cabin has a long and storied history that dates back all the way to 1945, but it was in 1982 that Karl Poulos found the log cabin location and decided it would be the site of his restaurant, Karl’s Family Restaurant. On July 13 from 6-8:30 p.m., Karl’s Cabin will open its doors for a patio beer dinner with Bell’s Brewery Inc. A six-course meal has been planned that includes appetizers and dessert and, of course, everything in between. Each course will be paired with one of Bell’s own brews, such as their well-known summer brew Oberon, Oatsmobile, Quinnan Falls India Pale Lager and more. Tickets are $59 and can be purchased here.
