COCO SHACK

22701 Michigan Avenue, Dearborn

Known for its tropical vibes, Coco Shack brings a refreshing take to açai bowls. Choose from one of the many options, and customize the toppings to suit your preference. Many are made with coconut milk in their base, like the Aloha bowl with mango, blueberry, and açai, while Ocean Blue is a vibrant blue due to the spirulina mixed with banana, mango, and strawberry. You can add fruit, dry toppings like chia and hemp seeds or chocolate chips, nut butter ranging from peanut to almond, and syrups like honey or agave. You can also get your bowl in smoothie form if you’d rather have a handheld option to take with you.

PRANA JUICES

823 South Main Street, Royal Oak

Prana Juices promotes using only organic ingredients, with options ranging from cold-pressed juice with no single-use plastic bottles to filling snacks and açai bowls, of course. Each bowl features housemade almond milk, and choices range from the Fruit Ninja Pitaya Bowl (with mango, pineapple, banana, vanilla extract, and honey) to the Summersault Açai Bowl (base of peach, mango, açai berries, and honey). Alternatively, you can build your own bowl, choosing from the bases of the existing bowls, and topped with choices from nuts and seeds to fresh and frozen fruits, granola, protein powder, and more. These are great options for a quick yet satisfying meal.

CHEAT TREATS

5838 Shaefer Road, Dearborn

Cheat Treats is known for its inventive takes on health-conscious indulgences, and its açai bowls are no exception. An excellent spot for when you’re craving something sweet that aligns with a range of dietary preferences, Cheat Treats also has milkshakes, ice cream, and baked goods. Their bowls are all dairy-free, and topped with granola and a range of fruit (banana, strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, and kiwi), but what makes each one different is its smoothie base. The Blueberry Muffin Bowl, for example, has a base made with blueberries, açai berries, cinnamon, and organic agave, while the Green Lantern Bowl is made with spinach, mango, pineapple, and kiwi with a bright green appearance. You can also add chia seeds, almond butter, honey, and other toppings for a personal touch to your açai bowl.

NAKED FUEL JUICE

6718 Orchard Lake Road, West Bloomfield

Naked Fuel Juice is a juice bar in West Bloomfield that offers fresh, flavorful menu items that focus on simple, high-quality ingredients. There are three smoothie bowls available, Açai, Pitaya, and Steve’s Açai. The Açai option is topped with strawberry, banana, granola, and coconut, with a base of berries and bananas mixed with chia seeds and orange juice. Pair with fresh juice, a hot panini, or a bowl of soup while you’re there.
