It’s a beautiful Saturday, and after a late Friday night, you roll out of bed a little after noon. There’s nothing wrong with getting some rest, but the only problem is, you missed breakfast and you’re starving. What’s a guy or gal to do?

Instead of skipping straight to lunch, or going through a drive through for “breakfast served all day,” head to an all day breakfast joint in Metro Detroit! Here are a few of your tastiest options:

Rose’s Fine Food of Detroit is a sophisticated diner with plenty of breakfast options available all day. Try the Breakfast Noods (homemade noodles stir-fried in garlic butter with chorizo and scallions, topped with two fried eggs), Grandpa Richard’s Pancakes or The Egg Sandwich (scrambled eggs, scallions, Cheddar cheese and coriander butter on toast).

Be sure to sample one of the house-baked items, including homemade breads, rolls and pastries.

How do you make a truck your own? We're redefining what it means to drive a pickup. With luxurious comfort, a world-class entertainment system, and a 6-position Multi-Flex Tailgate, Silverado is the change you've been waiting for.

The Fly Trap, located in Ferndale, is closed on Mondays, but otherwise, the restaurant’s “blunch” (breakfast/lunch) menu is available whenever it is open. Order the Green Eggs and Ham (with roasted poblano and Jack cheese), Red Flannel Hash (spiced beef brisket with potatoes, beets, onions and two eggs) or Gingerbread Waffle.

The Fly Trap now has a full bar, so you can even enjoy a breakfast cocktail with your meal.

The Northside Grill is a family diner found in Ann Arbor, where cage-free eggs are supplied from Sunrise Acres and the bacon is nitrate and preservative free. When your stomach is grumbling at any time of day, go for the Hobo Skillet (with hash browns and veggies, topped with eggs and mozzarella and Cheddar cheese), Apple Oat Bran Pancakes or Cinnamon Swirl French Toast.

Be sure to wash it all down with a cup of Roosroast coffee!

Little Daddy’s, with multiple Metro Detroit locations, is a family restaurant, where you’ll find breakfast items like Corned Beef Hash, Leonard’s Salmon Benedict (served with hash browns and an English muffin) and Greek Scramble (with eggs, gyro meat, peppers, onions, tomatoes and feta) on the menu.

No matter what time of day it is, it’s always appropriate to enjoy a hearty breakfast in southeast Michigan!
